We understand how important your smile is to you, and the real impact that the appearance of your smile can have on the way you feel. We also understand that some patients may be feeling a little nervous about treatment – and what this may involve. It is for this reason that we believe in providing dental care that has you, and your needs, at the very heart of it. We will always take plenty of time to understand your aspirations for your new smile as well as any concerns you may have about treatment. By discussing your queries, and fully answering any questions or queries you may have, we aim to help ensure you feel happy and confident in every stage of your treatment journey with us here at Craigdental.
A dental crown is a tooth-shaped "cap" that is placed over a tooth -- to cover the tooth to restore its shape and size, strength, and improve its appearance.
Dental veneers (sometimes called porcelain veneers or dental porcelain laminates) are wafer-thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve your appearance.
Dental bridges literally bridge the gap created by one or more missing teeth. A bridge is made up of two or more crowns for the teeth on either side of the gap -- these two or more anchoring teeth are called abutment teeth -- and a false tooth /teeth in between.
A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. Two types of dentures are available -- complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.
To treat a cavity your dentist will remove the decayed portion of the tooth and then "fill" the area on the tooth where the decayed material was removed. Fillings are also used to repair cracked or broken teeth and teeth that have been worn down from misuse (such as from nail-biting or tooth grinding).
Taking the safety and well-being of our team and patients very seriously, we follow WHTM 01-05 guidelines on infection control to ensure you receive care in a continuously safe and clean environment. We understand that visiting the dentist can be often be a daunting experience so from our dedication to thorough cleanliness and hygiene, to the friendly and professional approach of our team, we believe that you should benefit from peace of mind and always feel reassured when in our care.
